By June of this year, that number had climbed to 300 — a snapshot of how quickly the insurance landscape has shifted in the growing Sacramento County suburb.
The jump in Folsom mirrors a broader surge across Sacramento County, where FAIR Plan coverage has increased more than fivefold since 2021, rising to about 1,820 residential policies, according to Abridged, PBS KVIE’s news outlet, in reporting by Phillip Reese. The biggest increases are concentrated in the eastern part of the county, particularly around Folsom and Sloughhouse, though the outlet also found growth in parts of Elk Grove and unincorporated Florin.
