Rocklin police seize loaded ghost gun and large-capacity magazine in traffic stop

(FOX40.COM) — A traffic stop in Placer County led to the seizure of an illegal weapon and ammunition, according to the Rocklin Police Department.

Around 2:12 a.m. on Friday, RPD pulled over a vehicle with four passengers for a traffic violation. During the stop, an officer said he spotted an open container and noticed all passengers were under 21 years of age.

Subsequently, a search of the vehicle revealed a loaded ghost gun under the driver’s seat and a large-capacity magazine in the center console, according to RPD. The driver was arrested for alleged possession of an illegal firearm, while the other three were released to their families.
