Man who trafficked minors in Sacramento County area gets prison time

(FOX40.COM) — A man who trafficked and sexually exploited two minors while operating out of Sacramento County has been sentenced to eight years in prison.

Kai Jones, who pleaded guilty earlier this year to several felonies, including human trafficking of a minor, pimping of a minor, and unlawful sex with a minor, was sentenced Friday, the California Attorney General Rob Bonta’s Office announced.

Jones operated out of Sacramento, Los Angeles, Alameda, Monterey and Contra Costa counties in 2022. He lured the minor victims with “promises of protection and a bright future” — in exchange for the money they earned from doing sex work, prosecutors said…
