Central POP Team Investigation Leads to Felony Arrests, Guns & Narcotics

“On March 24, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies responded to a report of a negligent discharge on Bowling Drive in South Sacramento after a witness observed two suspects firing guns from a vehicle. Deputies located spent shell casings at the scene but were unable to locate the suspects at that time.

Central POP Deputies followed up on the investigation and located CCTV footage of the suspects and their vehicle. Through investigative work, Deputies were able to identify one of the individuals involved, as 35-year-old Evan Pimental.

As POP Deputies and SED (SWAT) prepared to serve a search warrant at Pimental’s residence he rode away on his scooter. Deputies stopped Pimental and detained him without incident. POP Deputies went on to search his residence, where they discovered 27-year-old Dustin Hegseth, who was also detained without incident…
