Person critically injured in Sacramento crash requiring extrication

(FOX40.COM) — One person was critically injured and three others suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash Monday night that required crews to free occupants from the wreckage, authorities said.

The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to reports of a collision with extrication in the area of Fulton Avenue and Maison Way. When crews arrived, they found two vehicles involved with occupants trapped inside.

Metro Fire said firefighters began extrication efforts and were able to safely remove those involved, officials said.

Four patients were treated at the scene, SMFD said. One was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, while the remaining three were transported with minor injuries for further evaluation.
