More than 15 pedestrians killed in car crashes, advocacy group says

(FOX40.COM) — More than 15 pedestrians have died on Sacramento streets in car crash-related incidents this year, according to advocacy group Slow Down Sacramento.

Advocates said that at this pace, the city could pass last year’s total traffic deaths of 32.

“32 people is way too many, and it’s more than it was ten years ago,” Isaac Gonzalez, the founder of Slow Down Sacramento, said. “We’re going in the wrong direction. This year is poised to be even worse. We’ve had way too many crashes that have killed people in Sacramento.”…
