Body of suspect who jumped into Missouri River recovered

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. – Crews located the body of a man who jumped into the Missouri River during a pursuit in St. Charles County last week.

According to the drowning report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, officials found the body of the 32-year-old St. Louis man around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Prior FOX 2 reports say crews with the Gateway Regional Interdiction Task Force were attempting to pull a vehicle over on June 19 for a traffic violation near First Capitol Drive and Pralle Lane in the early morning hours. It was later determined that the car had been stolen out of St. Louis County days prior.
