It was a three-hour wait to get a pizza at BJ’s Bar and Restaurant in Florissant on Friday.
It had been that busy for more than a week as diners lined up for one last taste of the Florissant staple before it closed Sunday. Owner Jeanne Russell Blanton said the restaurant ran out of food every day last week.
“The food is fantastic,” said Jack Gillette, who at the time was two hours into his wait — one he said was absolutely worth it. “It’s greasy as all get-out, but that’s what makes it great. It is the flavor.”…
