BELLEVILLE, Ill. – Holes in a bridge beam in Belleville have firefighters diverting to other roads. It’s under the South 74th Street overpass, which is one of two bridges with holes you can see.
They’re both over the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks. The South 74th Street bridge is reportedly safe for regular traffic, but not for anything over 18 tons, which includes fire trucks.
