Raven Richmond Foundation honors slain mother-to-be through community outreach

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – More than a year after 24-year-old Raven Richmond was shot and killed while pregnant, her family has launched a foundation in her name to support foster children and survivors of domestic violence.

Ferguson police say 39-year-old Brandon Johnson — Richmond’s boyfriend — later confessed to the killing. Richmond was employed at the St. Louis Public Library at the time of her death.

Her family created the Raven Richmond Foundation and launched it on what would have been Richmond’s 25th birthday. Since then, the foundation has donated to local organizations and read to children in area schools…
