Edwardsville, Glen Carbon area restaurant inspections for July 27-31

The Madison County Health Department Food Sanitation Program conducted several food inspections for Edwardsville and Glen Carbon area restaurants for July 27-31.

July 27

Dominos, Edwardsville

  • Plumbing needs repair. Repair according to Illinois and local plumbing code.

Goshen Coffee, Edwardsville

  • Food employee contaminated hands and failed to wash hands.
  • Food prepared and held in a food establishment for more than 24 hours must be clearly marked to indicate the date or day by which the food must be consumed on the premises, sold, or discarded when held at a temperature of 41F or less for a maximum of 7 days.
  • Prepackaged food is not properly labeled.
  • Exterior door allows access for pests.
  • Test kits or other devices are not available to the employees to measure sanitizing solution concentration.

Stagger Inn Again, Edwardsville

  • Food employee contaminated hands and failed to wash hands.
  • Protect food from cross-contamination.
  • Equipment/Utensils are not properly Air-Dried after cleaning and sanitizing.
  • Food-Contact surface at is no longer smooth and easily cleanable.
  • Clean all non-food contact surfaces frequently to prevent soil accumulation.
  • Floors, Walls and Ceilings were found in a state of disrepair, or not to be smooth and easily cleanable.
