St. Louis man faces charges for using bear spray on visitors to PrideFest

A St. Louis man faces criminal charges after police observed bear spray being used on a group of people during PrideFest in the Grove this past June. He also has pending felony cases for a different pair of assaults in the past eight months.

Dangelo Sanders, 30, who lives downtown, was due in St. Louis municipal court yesterday for his initial appearance.

During this year’s PrideFest after party in The Grove, bear spray was twice deployed amid groups of partygoers. The first time, on June 27, was near Rehab Bar and Grill. The second, a day later, was near the intersection of Manchester and Talmage. In that second case, a police spokesman said that officers observed an individual “spraying bear spray at a group of individuals.”…
