Several students ill after consuming unknown substance at Laclede School

ST. LOUIS – An investigation is underway after several eighth-grade students at a Saint Louis Public School became ill Monday after consuming an unknown substance.

According to Saint Louis Public Schools (SLPS), the incident occurred at Laclede School, located in the 5800 block of Kennerly Ave. in north St. Louis.

Officials said a student brought an unknown substance to school and shared it with classmates, causing several students to become ill. According to SLPS, the students received appropriate care from emergency medical personnel, and their parents or guardians were notified…
