ST. LOUIS — A Missouri man was sentenced Wednesday to 20 years in federal jail for shooting and killing a man during a 2023 drug deal in St. Louis.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri, the shooting happened on May 25, 2023 in an alley near the 4800 block of Farlin Avenue. Prosecutors say Trevon Carson, now 32, from St. Charles drove a buyer, Earl S. Hill to meet a marijuana dealer. During their encounter, one of the weed seller’s associates went up to Carson’s vehicle with an AR-style rifle.
Carson, who was already not allowed to have a gun due to prior assault and robbery convictions, got out of his car and shot and killed the man. Prosecutors said Carson then took the victim’s gun and left the scene without trying to get help or render aid in any way…
