The B’s Family Kitchen, the food stand tucked inside the Swansea Improvement Association hall, shut down on Monday, but regulars will not be left hungry for long. Owner Ruth Blavesciunas is stepping away from the business for medical reasons, and the association says the stand is set to reopen under new ownership with the same recipes and a fresh name on May 8.
According to the Belleville News-Democrat, Monday was the last day of service for The B’s Family Kitchen, and Blavesciunas confirmed in a brief April 24 interview that a new owner would be taking over.
