ST. LOUIS – Five juveniles were detained over the weekend in Downtown St. Louis as police numerous car break-ins during a recent Cardinals game.
According to Sgt. Sean Mazzola, a St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department spokesman, undercover detectives with the department’s Anti-Crime Task Force were patrolling the area near the St. Raymond Maronite Cathedral when they spotted a group of juveniles peering into vehicles.
The detectives stopped the juveniles in the 900 block of North 10th Street. A 14-year-old boy was found in possession of a handgun that had been stolen in a car break-in the night prior.
