ST. LOUIS – St. Louisans are encouraged to attend a public hearing later this month as city leaders discuss an updated proposal for data center zoning regulations.
The city’s Planning and Urban Design Agency shared an updated framework for data center regulations after the community voiced its feedback during the first public hearing on Feb. 11.
These updates, which are available to the public, include added requirements establishing new e-waste recycling requirements, requiring ongoing reporting and monitoring, lowering the megawattage threshold between “standard” and “major” data center types, among other changes.
