OVERLAND, Mo. (First Alert 4) -An Overland couple is accused of beating a 1-year-old after binding the child to a chair. Both are now facing felony child abuse charges.
Irais Martinez-Santos and Antonio Belli-Espejo were both charged last week with abuse or neglect of a child, causing serious physical injury, a class B felony. Martinez-Santos and Belli-Espejo are both being held at the St. Louis County Jail on a $150,000 cash-only, no 10% bond.
Martinez-Santos was the child’s babysitter, and she is in a relationship with Belli-Espejo, Overland Police told First Alert 4.
