ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – St. Louis police shot and killed a man in downtown St. Louis on Tuesday.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said it received calls just before 11 a.m. about a man swinging a pipe near the intersection of Locust and Broadway. A bicycle officer located the man at Broadway and Olive, and the man threw a cup of coffee at the officer before running away.
Police officers then followed the man to Broadway and Lucas. The man refused officers’ commands to drop the metal pole, and officers tased him to no avail…
