Florissant man accused of stealing over $250K from grocery chain

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A Florissant man is accused of stealing over $250,000 from a grocery chain.

Richard Lind, 39, was indicted with five counts of wire fraud on April 22. In court on Wednesday, he pleaded not guilty.

Prosecutors said Lind worked as the site manager for a logistics company at a grocery distribution center. He reportedly defrauded the grocery chain by creating false records for inventory shipments that didn’t occur and false invoices for payment from trucking companies for unloading the shipments. The trucking companies wanted reimbursement from the grocery chain, and Lind voided the false records to conceal the scheme from his employer…
