A series of armed robberies targeting food delivery drivers across Minneapolis earlier this year was the result of a coordinated months-long scheme, according to newly filed court documents.
Minneapolis police say the suspects would lure drivers to specific south Minneapolis addresses using fake delivery orders before robbing them at gunpoint.
According to a search warrant application filed in Hennepin County District Court, police arrested 18-year-old Aizarion Takais Dementral Campbell on May 26, who authorities say later admitted to the crimes and helped investigators identify his accomplices.
Campbell is charged with one count of aggravated robbery after he and an accomplice allegedly robbed a pizza delivery driver on May 24. Campbell admitted to taking the pizzas and claimed the other suspect used a fake gun to threaten the victim…
