Tributes are being paid to the 13-year-old boy “with the most compassionate heart” who was killed by a hit-and-run driver as he was riding his bike in Farmington earlier this week.
Sasha Balandin, of Apple Valley, died at Minnesota Highway 50 and Dushane Parkway after he was struck by a driver who fled the scene at around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14. The boy was wearing a helmet when he was struck, his family says.
As of Friday the driver has still not been located, with police appealing for information on a black 2008 to 2011 Ford Focus with front-end and passenger-side damage, which is likely missing its passenger-side exterior mirror…
