Dakota County prosecutors have charged a St. Paul man with felony theft by swindle after investigators uncovered a multi-year scam involving custom food trucks and hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Last June, police in South St. Paul received complaints from several families about a local business owner who was selling custom food trucks. The company allegedly would draw up contracts with customers, who would be given an earlier completion date for their custom food truck if they paid more cash up front.
