A Twin Cities mother-of-three is facing months of intense recovery after being struck by a driver while out on an evening run.
According to a GoFundMe page, Shannan Parker was out jogging on the night of April 21 near her Minneapolis home when she was hit at Washburn Avenue North and Lowry Avenue North.
Parker was immediately transported to North Memorial Hospital, where she underwent multiple surgeries. Parker was moved out of the Intensive Care Unit last week, and now faces months of physical therapy.
“If you know Shannan, you know she is the life of the party – bubbly, outgoing, and someone who brings light into every room she enters,” wrote the page’s organizer. “More importantly, she is an incredible mom of three teenagers, always putting her kids first and showing up for everyone around her. This accident has turned her world upside down.”…
