For many working families across the Florida Suncoast, earning a paycheck is no longer enough to guarantee financial stability.
A new United Way Suncoast ALICE Report shows that a family of four with two young children in childcare must earn more than $106,000 a year in the organization’s five-county region just to afford basic necessities. That includes housing, food, transportation, childcare, a basic smartphone plan, taxes and other essential costs.
