TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — An aftershock from a 6.1 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Cuba sent tremors along Florida’s Gulf Coast on Monday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
Residents as far north as Tampa reported feeling the 4.9 magnitude aftershock, which officials said occurred around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 15 — exactly a week after the June 8 earthquake.
