TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A man was arrested Tuesday after Hillsborough County deputies said he left his dog outside in a crate for several hours in near 100-degree temperatures, ultimately leading to the dog’s death.
A concerned citizen called the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office regarding the crated dog, which had been left outside an apartment on Palm Crossing Drive. The caller reported that the dog, a Cane Corso, had no food or water and had been in the crate for hours.
