TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — While summer doesn’t officially begin until this weekend, Florida and Tampa Bay are already experiencing extreme heat, with feels-like temperatures climbing past 100 degrees some days.
As residents and seasonal visitors prepare for a sweltering summer, Duke Energy shared some tips for managing energy use.
The company said five appliances typically use the most energy in a home: air conditioners, electric water heaters, refrigerators/freezers, washing machines, and dishwashers.
