Bradenton man leads police on three-county chase before crashing through fence: FHP

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Bradenton man “not willing to go back to jail” led police on a wild chase through three counties on Sunday night, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The pursuit began in Manatee County, where sheriff’s deputies had attempted a traffic stop on 31-year-old Randall Woodson III. Woodson was wanted for a domestic violence injunction, a state trooper said in an arrest affidavit, and had fled the traffic stop.

He was armed and dangerous, the deputies said, and had earlier made a statement that he was “not willing to go back to jail.”

The trooper was on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge at around 10 p.m. and saw multiple Manatee County patrol cars go by. Having heard a request for assistance, the trooper joined the pursuit and located Woodson, driving a Hyundai sedan, traveling east on the Gandy Bridge into Hillsborough County…
