TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The pattern has shifted back to an onshore southwest to west wind pattern going into the Labor Day weekend. This will lead to morning showers near the coast that move east through the day.
Most of the storm activity each evening will be on the east coast, with just one or two showers lingering across the Tampa Bay area.
The rain chances are down to a 40-50% Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They increase to a 60% for Labor day for scattered showers and storms at any time of the day as the pattern begins to transition back to an east wind.
Next week, showers and storms will be in the afternoon and pushing toward the coast.
Temperatures will remain in the upper 80s and low 90s each day with a muggy feel to the afternoons, quite typical of Labor Day in the Tampa Bay area…
