ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A small kitten survived a 55-foot fall from an Interstate 275 overpass on Friday morning following an extensive rescue effort by multiple emergency agencies, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident started around 11:00 a.m. when troopers received a report from a passerby about a stranded kitten on northbound I-275 over 3rd Avenue South. Highway troopers and Road Rangers arrived at the location and located the animal.
