Scattered PM storms Tuesday, windy & drier midweek

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — It is a dry and quiet Tuesday morning across Tampa Bay. Temperatures will warm into the low 90s this afternoon. Winds have switched to more easterly today which will allow storms to mainly develop inland and push toward our coast this afternoon and evening. There could be an isolated shower near the coast early in the afternoon as well.

Rain chances will come down to a 20-30% for Wednesday and Thursday as a weak front moves through and brings slightly drier air. The lower humidity will be noticeably by Wednesday evening and Thursday. Morning lows will be a few degrees cooler by Thursday and Friday morning as well.

An upper level area of low pressure could approach over the weekend. Depending on where this area moves and how much moisture it brings, we could see more storms over the weekend, even a few strong storms are possible. We’ll watch this forecast over the next few days…
