Tampa-based drink shop STORM plans to open its fourth storefront at 2600 4th Street North in St. Petersburg before November 1. The company’s arrival will add its customizable electrolyte drinks and plant-based protein shakes to a corridor that is also seeing a tenant transition at the site.
The location is currently occupied by Grand Kitchen & Bath, which is moving to the other side of the building to make room for STORM, according to St Pete Rising. Grand Kitchen & Bath says it has operated remodeling showrooms in the Tampa Bay area since 2004 and is a licensed Florida general contractor, according to the company’s website.
A Tampa expansion with St. Pete roots
STORM was founded by Molly Mills and Cole Schaller. Mills grew up in St. Petersburg and had initially hoped to open there, but real estate costs led the founders to launch in Tampa instead, according to Tampa Magazine.
The first STORM opened in 2021 at 3401 South MacDill Avenue in Tampa after Mills and Schaller put $16,000 into the business, St Pete Rising reports. The company later added locations in Westshore and near the University of Tampa.
