Florida Burger King Shut Down After State Inspection – 3rd Closure

Although Floridians may know in their hearts that fast food isn’t the healthiest meal option, it is reported that 37% of Americans eat some form of fast food every day. One arguably cheap option for Floridians is Florida-based Burger King, which currently has a meal deal for $5. Unfortunately, one Florida Burger King – on Brandon’s Lumsdon Avenue – was recently temporarily shut down after a state inspection.

About Burger King In Florida: This chain has been home-grown since it debuted with the name Insta-Burger King in Jacksonville in the 1950s. The chain was slow to catch on at first, but things changed after the invention of the Whopper.

There are currently around 506 Burger King stores in Florida and it is headquartered in Miami-Dade County.

However, the chain has seen some changes in recent times. At the end of 2023, Burger King announced that it would be closing around 400 stores. As one example, I wrote about Florida losing two stores that had served for 40 years in Jacksonville.

The Burger King in question located at 2019 E Lumsden Road gets mixed reviews, earning 3.5 out of 5 stars on Google Reviews. Many complained about wait times or customer service issues.
