Fatal Fire Kills Mother and Child at Largo Mobile Home Park on Belcher Road
It was 2:20 in the morning when the first 911 calls started coming in. A mobile home at the Westgate Mobile Home Park on Belcher Road South in Largo was on fire, and three people were inside.
By the time Largo Fire Rescue arrived, the home was already engulfed. The fire had moved fast. Too fast.
When crews got inside, they found two people who could not make it out. A 60-year-old woman and a 4-year-old girl. Both were pronounced dead at the scene…
