TAMPA, Fla. (WWSB) – Hillsborough County commissioners have voted in voted in favor of a new ballpark stadium deal for the Tampa Bay Rays.
Commissioners voted 5-2 Wednesday to approve a Memorandum of Understanding of the deal for new stadium, part of a mixed-use district on the site of Hillsborough College’s campus in Tampa, across Dale Mabry Highway from Raymond James Stadium and next to the Yankees’ George M. Steinbrenner Field, according to MLB.com.
