PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Across the state, Oregon National Guard service members participated Monday in ceremonies honoring those who died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
This Memorial Day also marked a particular milestone as the United States nears its 250th anniversary.
Gov. Tina Kotek was among those in attendance at an event in Salem, speaking at the Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs Memorial Day celebration.
