Newberg’s Hassler sentenced to nearly 8 years for 2025 crime spree

The Newberg man who conducted a spree of vehicle thefts in the area in late 2025 will spend the next nearly eight years atoning for his crimes.

Ronald Lee Hassler was sentenced in Yamhill County Circuit Court to seven years, 6 months in prison and ordered to pay $3,405 in restitution to three of his victims. He will not be eligible for parole until December 2031.
