SALEM, Ore. — Salem police arrested a Salem man early Thursday after he allegedly burglarized a northeast Salem business and attempted to flee from officers.
According to the Salem Police Department, officers responded at approximately 3:31 a.m. on June 18 to a business in the 4000 block of Salem Industrial Drive NE after security personnel reported a man had entered the building and was seen taking items. The suspect was reported to be running along nearby railroad tracks as officers arrived.
Police established a perimeter and deployed a drone and a K-9 unit to search for the suspect. Officers later located and confronted the man, identified as 30-year-old Jeremiah Grieser of Salem. Authorities said Grieser attempted to flee but was apprehended with the assistance of K-9 Andor…
