PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Another Oregon city is taking steps to temporarily halt the development of data centers.
Salem City Council voted unanimously Monday night to begin the process of establishing a moratorium on data centers within city limits.

“I’ve wanted Salem to be a city that others look to as an example for the way that we operate and the way that we act,” said Salem Mayor Julie Hoy during the meeting.
