MCMINNVILLE, Ore. (KATU) — Oregon students have made some gains since the pandemic, but statewide achievement remains among the lowest in the nation.
Just 31% of students are proficient in math, while 43% meet state standards in English. And that raises a bigger question: If some Oregon school districts are helping students recover faster than others, what’s working — and can other districts learn from it?
