Lebanon Fire District extinguish half-acre natural cover fire in Lacomb

A fast-moving natural cover fire in Lacomb was knocked down Friday, Aug. 20, after neighbors spotted the flames and called for help.

Lebanon Fire District (LFD) firefighters were dispatched to the 41000 block of Baptist Church Drive at about 11:46 a.m. When the Battalion Chief arrived, the fire had been contained to about a half-acre and extinguished by the property owner and neighbors.

Additional firefighters arrived to mop up hot spots throughout the burned area to ensure the fire was fully out. Crews remained on scene for about one hour…
