Wilsonville man arrested in connection Tualatin, Tigard armed robberies

A 24-year-old Wilsonville man believed to involved with the armed robberies of several Washington County convenience stores was arrested at his home early Thursday, Jan. 25.

Success Able Ben was arrested shortly after 1 a.m. after police found his vehicle parked in an apartment complex at 7875 S.W. Vlahos Drive.

He is believed to be responsible for the Wednesday, Jan. 24, armed robbery of a Tualatin 7-Eleven, at 6630 S.W. Nyberg St.

A clerk there reported a man armed with a gun walked into the store, demanded money and fled just before midnight. At 12:15 a.m. on Thursday, a man matching Ben’s description also robbed the Tigard Plaid Pantry, 11705 S.W. Pacific Highway, at gunpoint, according to a news release on behalf of the regional city and county law enforcement agencies.

Once police found Ben’s car in Wilsonville, police served search warrants, and he was taken into custody with the help of the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team.

Investigators believe Ben could be responsible for at least two additional armed robberies involving a gun including a Jan. 14 robbery at the Sunshine Market & Deli in North Plains, 9950 N.W. Glencoe Road, and an Oct. 2, 2023, robbery of a Beaverton 7-Eleven, 8106 S.W. Hall Blvd.
