Over 1,600 people in West Salem lost power early in the morning April 15 after a tree fell on power lines, Salem Electric officials said in a statement.
A Salem Electric spokesperson said the tree fell on the power line on an undeveloped area south of Sunwood Court NW near the Bonneville Power Administration substation on Highway 22.
