Woman sentenced for trespass and assault at ex-husband’s home in Salem

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Salem woman who forced her way into her ex-husband’s home and physically assaulted another woman there has been convicted.

Maria Michelle Miller, 62, was convicted by a Polk County jury April 8 of harassment, first degree criminal trespass, second degree burglary and fourth degree assault.

In June 2025, Miller arrived at her ex-husband’s home to talk to him about what she said was financial matter. She said she rang the doorbell and began walking around the property to try to find him, but was unsuccessful.

She said he opened a window and told her she needed to leave. Another woman who was inside the home then came out front to the porch and was screaming…
