Corvallis driver loses license for life after fourth DUI conviction

CORVALLIS, Ore. – A Corvallis man was sentenced to 19 months in prison for his fourth felony driving under the influence conviction in 10 years, according to the Benton County District Attorney’s Office.

Micky Michael was stopped by a Corvallis Police Department officer at 7 a.m. on Oct. 16, 2024. A Benton County Sheriff’s Office sergeant, who works in the Parole and Probation Department, was driving behind Michael and reported seeing him weave in his lane. Michael almost hit a guardrail and crossed his lane of travel about 20 times. At one point, he crossed into oncoming traffic and swerved back into his own lane to avoid a crash. The BCSO deputy was concerned Michael was going to leave the roadway and crash. Michael failed field sobriety tests and appeared under the influence.

A blood draw showed a blood alcohol level of .038%. THC, the psychoactive component of cannabis, was also present in Michael’s blood…
