ALBANY, Ore. – The City of Albany is installing and activating new school speed zone signs and flashing lights today on North Albany Road near North Albany Middle School and North Albany Elementary School.
According to the city, the April 27 installation is happening between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Once activated, the 20 mph school zone speed limit will only be in effect when the lights are flashing. On regular school days, typically Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, the lights will flash from 7:20 a.m. to 9:25 a.m. and again from 2:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. On early release days, typically Wednesdays, the morning times remain the same, but the afternoon window shifts to 1:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m…
