CORVALLIS — Dax Whitney returned to Goss Stadium on Friday. The chances of Oregon State’s ace seeing a college mound again are extremely slim.
Whitney, 20, had surgery on Monday for a torn right UCL. Dallas-based Dr. Keith Meister performed Whitney’s surgery, which was a hybrid of full UCL reconstruction — Tommy John surgery — and the InternalBrace procedure, meaning a minimum of 12 months until Whitney pitches again.
