Lebanon man dies in fatal two-vehicle Deschutes County crash

DESCHUTES COUNTY, Ore. – A 63-year-old Lebanon man died following a two-vehicle head-on crash near Redmond on Sunday afternoon, according to the Oregon State Police.

OSP officials said they responded at 1:11 p.m. on May 17 to a two-vehicle fatal crash on Highway 126 near milepost 107 in Deschutes County. Early investigation determined that Lee Glenn Bernard was traveling eastbound in a green Chevrolet Silverado on Highway 126 when it crossed into the westbound lane for an unknown reason. A westbound blue Subaru Outback, driven by a 77-year-old Redmond man, attempted to avoid the Chevrolet but both vehicles collided head-on, state police said. Bernard was pronounced deceased at the scene while his passenger, a 66-year-old Lebanon woman, and the driver of the Subaru’s driver were transported to an area hospital with serious injuries…
