DRAPER, Utah, June 14, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — A man who fled an attempted Interstate 15 traffic stop at 106 mph was tracked by helicopter to Draper, and ultimately boxed in by two troopers and taken into custody.
But not before he attempted to flee again, causing major damage to the troopers’ vehicles, his arrest document says.
Jayden Cole Gorringe, 21, of Bluffdale, was booked into the Salt Lake County jail for investigation of:
- Failure to stop or respond at command of police, a third-degree felony
- Assault on a peace officer, a class A misdemeanor
- Driving under the influence, first offense in 10 years, a class B misdemeanor
- Reckless driving, a class B misdemeanor
- Driving on a suspended or revoked license, a class C misdemeanor
